DEER AND TICK REPELLENTS….. FIGHT BACK! Deer Repellents:As our state becomes more crowded and developed, wildlife is rapidly losing its habitat, forcing them to live and forage right in our backyards. Grazing damage to ornamental trees and
shrubs has become quite an issue in recent years, with many homeowners accepting this as something they just have to "put up with". By utilizing a combination of an effective deterrent with
an adjuvant, we can create an undesirable environment for deer herds. The only drawback to this procedure is its tendency to send the deer to adjacent properties. As you can imagine, it doesn't
make for good neighbors! Tick Repellents:Lyme disease has become a major concern as well, creating widespread panic amongst area residents. Of course, the only full-proof method to resisting this affliction is to stay indoors,
keep your kids behind their computers, and lock your pets in the basement. Eventually, however, some decide that they would like to go outside and mow their lawn or weed their garden. Maybe even
let the kids out to play in the yard, or walk the dog. Recent research trials, conducted in association with Rutgers Agricultural Research Center, have shown promising results in
the efforts to control deer ticks and significantly reduce incidents of infection. Two to three applications over the course of an average season has resulted in over 90% control in
trials. |
